Bluegrass Harbor is an independent editorial website about backyard and park games for American families, friends and neighbors. We publish practical, plain-English guides on four subjects: cornhole boards and bags; pickleball nets, bags and covers; badminton sets and nets; and giant stacking and other yard games. Alongside the guides we offer a free yard fit calculator that checks which games fit a yard of a given size and draws a layout.
Why this site exists
Backyard games look simple until you try to set them up. How far apart should the cornhole boards be? How high is the pickleball net? Will a badminton court fit between the shed and the fence? Advice online often skips the measuring, or hides it inside a product list. We write for the moment before and after you buy or build: what to measure, what the rules say, what can go wrong and how to keep players safe and equipment in good shape.

How we write
The Bluegrass Harbor Editorial Team writes every page, and every page carries an "Updated" date. Our standards are straightforward:
- Facts come from published sources. Dimensions and rules, such as cornhole board sizes and scoring, pickleball court measurements and badminton net heights, draw on the published rules of governing bodies. Where recreational practice differs from the official rules, we say so.
- Rules of thumb are labeled. When a number is our planning suggestion rather than an official figure, we describe it as one.
- No invented evidence. We do not publish made-up statistics, fabricated test results, fake reviews or invented experts.
- No brand rankings. We explain product types and how to choose between them. We do not rank named products or send you to a checkout.
- Plain language. We prefer short sentences, real measurements and honest trade-offs over hype.
How we are funded
Bluegrass Harbor currently carries no advertising, no sponsored content and no affiliate links. If that ever changes, we will label it clearly and explain it in our Affiliate Disclosure. Editorial decisions are never influenced by a retailer or manufacturer.
